Foreign Ministry urges Ukrainians to boycott 2018 World Cup

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has called on Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to Russia for the matches of the 2018 World Cup.

"I urge all Ukrainians not to go to Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The provocations are guaranteed, and security there is not protected by anyone," Klimkin wrote on Twitter.

The World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15.

Previously, Britain offered a collective boycott of the World Cup in Russia. Because of the poisoning of former Russian agent Sergei Skripal in London, officials from this country refused to come for the world football championship in Russia.
