New Ukraine head coach for soccer team to be selected in July

A new coach of Ukrainian national soccer team will be announced at the Football Federation (FFU) executive committee meeting in mid-July, president of Ukraine’s Football Federation Andriy Pavelko told a press conference in Kyiv evaluating the performance of the team at Euro 2016, Ukrinform reports.

"Chairman of the committee on national teams at the FFU Semen Altman will supervise a working group that will select candidates to the post of head coach. It must submit to the Executive Committee all information as to possible candidates for head coach not later than mid-July. The contract with a new coach I suggest that we sign using the following formula 2+2 years", Pavelko said.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported the previous coach of national soccer team Mykhailo Fomenko resigned after the disastrous performance at Euro 2016 in France, where our team lost in all three group stage matches.
