EURO 2016: Ukraine vs Northern Ireland tonight

Ukrainian national football team will hold its second match at EURO 2016 in France today on June 16.

Tonight, the "blue-yellow" will continue their progress at Euro-2016 by taking on Northern Ireland, Ukrinform reports.

The starting whistle of the FIFA referee from the Czech Republic Pavel is scheduled to go off  at Stade de Lyon at 19.00 Kyiv time.

Ukrainians have never lost to Northern Irish: in four games they recorded two victories and two draws, the goal difference - 3 to 1. Last match took place in the qualification round of Euro 2004 and ended in the goalless draw. British coach Michael O'Neill played against Ukraine and lost 0:1 in Euro 1996 qualifiers.

Both teams began Euro 2016 with their defeats. Ukrainian team lost to triple European champion, current world champion team Germany 0:2,  and Northern Ireland team was beat by Poland 0:1. Therefore, the upcoming match will be decisive in the struggle for advancing to the playoffs of the continental championship.
