On the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Russia must be held accountable for its crimes.

According to Ukrinform, he stated this on Telegram.

"Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, at least 707 Ukrainian children have been killed. Behind every number is a child whose future has been stolen. Russia must be held accountable for these crimes," Zelensky stated.

He added that June 4 marks the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, a day dedicated to honoring children affected by war and violence.

As previously reported, Ukraine commemorates on June 4 the children who have died as a result of Russia's armed aggression against the country. This memorial day was established by a resolution of the Ukrainian parliament in 2021.
