Over 113,000 civilians remain in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk communities

A total of 113,500 civilians remain in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk communities of the Donetsk region, which are under daily shelling.

Dmytro Petlin, Head of the Operational Duty, Communication, Alerting and Public Information Unit of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work at the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said this during an online briefing, Ukrinform reports.

"Relatively many people still remain in our two communities. In the Kramatorsk community – 67,500, and in the Sloviansk community – 46,000. These are the areas where the largest number of people remain in the region," Petlin said.

He noted that evacuation efforts are actively underway in these communities.

"About 15 volunteer evacuation teams work daily, in addition to 11 evacuation teams of the National Police (the 'White Angels') and four teams from the State Emergency Service ('Phoenix'). In total, that makes 30 evacuation groups," the regional governor said.
