Digital officers already operate in several AFU units — Ministry of Defense

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already selected and deployed digital officers in a number of key units, where they will be responsible for implementing digital solutions in the military.

Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization, Oksana Ferchuk, stated this on air, Ukrinform reports.

"As of today, digital officers or heads of digital transformation directions have already been successfully selected and have begun performing their duties in the Medical Forces, the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and in units of the State Special Transport Service," Ferchuk noted.

According to her, work is also ongoing to ensure that key positions are filled as quickly as possible by specialists in this field who can build their own teams and provide the military with digital solutions.

As Ukrinform reported, the Faculty of Digital Transformation has begun operating within the Defense Forces to train specialists in IT, analytics, and management, accelerating the digitalization of military units.
