SSU warns of possible provocations, terrorist attacks, and sabotage over Easter

The Security Service of Ukraine urges citizens to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines during the Easter holidays.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the SSU.

“The SSU has documented regular attempts by the enemy to destabilize the situation within Ukraine, particularly in the run-up to and during major religious holidays such as Easter. Despite the aggressor country’s statements about a so-called ‘ceasefire,’ enemy intelligence services have not abandoned their plans; they continue to work against Ukraine and resort to information and psychological special operations, provocations, terrorist attacks, and sabotage,” the statement reads.

SSU officers systematically take preemptive action and prevent most such crimes.

Among other things, the Ukrainian security service regularly exposes Russian agents for artificially stoking conflicts between representatives of different denominations and religious communities.

At the same time, the SSU’s counterintelligence unit exposes the enemy’s attempts to recruit Ukrainians to prepare terrorist attacks and coordinate airstrikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.

The invaders’ primary targets are areas with large concentrations of people, regardless of the purpose or location of civilian facilities.

SSU officers and other law enforcement agencies are working around the clock in an enhanced mode and systematically countering threats. At the same time, the vigilance and attentiveness of every citizen remain a crucial component of security.

The SSU urges Ukrainians during the Easter period: to be especially vigilant when attending mass gatherings; not to succumb to provocations or incitement to illegal actions; to report suspicious objects and individuals who may be staging provocations or pose a potential threat to law enforcement agencies; to report contact with strangers offering “easy money”; do not ignore air raid sirens and take shelter; if necessary, assist other citizens and comply with the established curfew, etc.
