Partners provide Ukraine with medical humanitarian aid worth UAH 31M in March – Ministry of Health
In March, Ukraine received shipments of medical humanitarian aid from partners with a total value of about UAH 31 million.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Health reported this on its website.
The aid was provided by the governments of Norway and Moldova, as well as international organizations and pharmaceutical companies from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. The resources supplied are aimed at ensuring the continuity of medical care, particularly for patients with injuries, chronic illnesses, and infectious diseases, the Ministry noted.
In particular, the government of Moldova provided consumables and equipment for surgical and emergency care, while the government of Norway supplied 2,000 blood bags, a critically important resource for facilities treating the wounded.
Partners also delivered medicines: the American humanitarian organization Direct Relief supplied drugs for treating allergic conditions, thyroid disorders, and cancer, while one of Europe's largest charitable organizations, Action Medeor, provided oncology and anti-infective medications.
The international organization I+SOLUTIONS supplied Ukraine with 4,560 tests for detecting tuberculosis infection, as well as a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug.
Pharmaceutical companies also delivered medicines for treating neurological and mental disorders, along with a batch of a drug used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. A Danish company provided 1,050 hearing aids to assist patients with hearing impairments.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that such assistance helps strengthen the capacity of the healthcare system. These deliveries are part of the ongoing, systematic support for Ukraine from the international community.
As reported, representatives of Ukraine's Ministry of Health and Direct Relief discussed expanding cooperation in humanitarian support and the restoration of Ukraine's healthcare system.
