Zelensky honors soldiers killed in battles for Moschun
President Volodymyr Zelensky paid tribute to the servicemen who died while defending and liberating the village of Moschun in the Kyiv region, where fierce battles with Russian invaders took place in 2022.
He announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“I paid tribute to the soldiers who died defending and liberating the village of Moschun,” he said.
The head of state emphasized that it is both important and right to honor the heroes who defended the Kyiv region and our entire country.
“We remember and will always be grateful to our soldiers for their heroism and courage. They did the most important thing—they gave our children the opportunity to live in a free Ukraine. We continue the fight so that this war ends justly,” Zelensky added.
As reported by Ukrinform, the battle for Moschun, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated the elite of the Russian Federation’s army, put an end to the myth of “Kyiv in 3 days.”
The battle lasted from February 27 to March 21, 2022. During this period, 118 defenders were killed.
