DM Fedorov says digital officers to be introduced in AFU, first appointment already made

Work is underway in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to establish a vertical structure of digital officers who will introduce innovations within the military. The first digital officer has already been appointed.

This was announced by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov while speaking to the media, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We are developing a vertical of digital officers within the Armed Forces of Ukraine who will serve as innovation drivers. The first digital officer has already been appointed. Each corps and each brigade will have a digital officer responsible for implementing innovation and change,” Fedorov said.

He added that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is also continuing work on deferment procedures “to ensure that people no longer stand in line when they need them.” In particular, he noted that there are no longer queues at territorial recruitment centers, as there were previously.
