More than 200 settlements in Vinnytsia region left without power due to icy wires

In the Vinnytsia region, 243 settlements have been left without power due to icy power lines. Emergency power cuts are in effect.

This was reported on Facebook by Vinnytsiaoblenergo JSC, according to Ukrinform.

"On January 27, the Vinnytsia region woke up to difficult challenges brought on by bad weather, including complete icing of power lines, broken lines, and emergency power cuts. As of 6:00 a.m., due to difficult weather conditions, the following remain without power in the region: 4 110 kV lines, 116 10 kV lines, 243 settlements, and 91,684 customers," the statement said.

It is noted that dozens of emergency crews and equipment are working on the restoration. The work is ongoing. Power is gradually being restored.

As reported by Ukrinform, the number of emergency power outages in the Khmelnytsky region has increased due to ice, and more than 140 settlements remain without power.
