SES deploys around 730 “points of invincibility” across Ukraine
Currently, around 7,000 “points of invincibility” have been deployed across Ukraine, with over 10% of them operated by the State Emergency Service (SES).
This was reported by Viktor Vitovetskyi, Director of the Department of Civil Protection and Preventive Activities at the SES, during a briefing, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, the network of points of invincibility in Ukraine includes about 7,000 facilities. This is not entirely the SES network. The SES component in these points is over 730. I’m referring to stationary points, which are generally located at the bases of our fire and rescue units,” he said.
Vitovetskyi noted that the SES points of invincibility are equipped with basic facilities for the public – they are warm, allow charging of gadgets, and provide hot drinks.
“As for mobile assistance points, we indeed deploy these points, and this component is especially in demand now on the left bank of Kyiv, where people have been for a long time without heating and electricity in some areas,” the SES representative said.
He reported that currently, 42 SES mobile assistance points are operating on Kyiv’s left bank, with several more being deployed.
“Here, we cooperate with local authorities. We deploy assistance points directly within residential areas, so that people can conveniently access the services,” Vitovetskyi added.
Vitovetskyi also explained that personnel currently involved in Kyiv come from almost all regions of Ukraine. Units from Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and other regions participate in operating these assistance points.
He emphasized that operating points in frontline regions is more challenging due to their proximity to the line of combat, where there is a real threat.
As reported by Ukrinform, as of January 12, the SES stated that 54 points of invincibility are functioning in Kyiv.
