DTEK: Some Kyiv residents may experience prolonged power outages due to localized accidents

Due to enemy attacks, freezing temperatures, and overloaded power grids, there are currently many localized power outages in Kyiv, and some consumers may be without power for an extended period of time.

This was reported by the DTEK Group on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

As of 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, more than 200 reports had been received from Kyiv residents.

“We are looking into each of them and doing everything possible to restore power to every home. All available resources are currently being utilized. Fifty-seven repair crews are working around the clock to restore power to Kyiv residents,” the company said.

Residents of the capital who already have power are urged to avoid using powerful electrical appliances at the same time and to turn them on one at a time. This will help prevent new accidents and stabilize the system more quickly.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the evening of January 10, power was restored in Kyiv after another Russian shelling. The capital returned to its scheduled power outages.
