Bus crash in Ivano-Frankivsk region: Injury toll rises to 13, one person killed

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the number of people injured as a result of a passenger bus accident has increased to 13. Among them are two children.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The number of injured has increased to 13 people, including 2 children," the statement said.

According to the State Emergency Service, a scheduled bus veered off the road into a ditch and overturned onto its side between the villages of Nadiyiv and Rakiv. There were 30 passengers and two drivers on board. As a result of the accident, a man born in 1964 was killed. Rescuers evacuated 18 people and passengers' luggage. The injured passengers and the drivers traveled to their places of residence on their own.

As Ukrinform previously reported, nine people were earlier known to have been injured in the bus crash in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. It was also reported that there was one fatality.
