Captured Azov fighter sentenced to 19 years in Russian maximum-security colony
The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) has sentenced 31-year-old Ukrainian prisoner of war Anatolii Roslavtsev to 19 years in prison.
That is according to Mediazona, citing the court's press service, Ukrinform reports.
According to the WarTears project, Roslavtsev served in the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade. He was born in Alchevsk, Luhansk region.
The Russian court found the Ukrainian POW guilty on two counts: "participation in a terrorist organization" and "undergoing training to commit terrorist attacks." In April 2025, Russia's financial monitoring agency added him to its list of terrorists and extremists.
The "verdict" was handed down on November 10. Roslavtsev is to serve his sentence in a maximum-security penal colony, the court said.
