Ministry of Education and Science announces changes to tuition fees for next academic year

Tuition fees for the next academic year will depend on budget funding for higher education, but no significant increase is expected.

This was stated by Oleh Sharov, General Director of the Directorate of Professional Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science, in a comment to Ukrinform, commenting on the question of whether to expect an increase in the cost of contract education in universities next year.

"I am not ready to give you a definite answer, because the education contract is tied to budget funding. Perhaps budget funding will increase, in which case tuition fees will increase slightly. It is unlikely that the figures will be anything fantastic," he said.

At the same time, Sharov noted that the expectation of obtaining a cheap education is essentially the expectation of receiving only a formal document, rather than high-quality knowledge.

As reported by Ukrinform, in 2024, 12,600 students received grants to study at universities for a total amount of 277 million UAH.
