Together to victory: summing up the year of charitable activity of Aviation Company Ukrainian Helicopters
Aviation Company Ukrainian Helicopters stands proud of what it has been able to accomplish this year.
While the Armed Forces fight at the frontlines, everyone else does their part in supporting them. Ukrainian entrepreneurs do not cease to provide substantial support to the army, and they are well aware that the future of their business is inextricably linked to our victory in this war.
The past year has been challenging for all of us. But it is in times like these that the true power of unity, humanity and commitment is revealed. For PJSC AC Ukrainian Helicopters, providing support to those who defend our country and helping those in need has become not only a duty, but also a calling.
“If we fail to support the army today, tomorrow there will be no country to work in and no economy to develop. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Aviation Company has provided charitable assistance amounting to over $5.3 million. We have supplied 20 military units with quadcopters, pickup trucks, ATVs, optical sights, night vision goggles, EW, body armor, and helmets. On top of that, we offer support to the families of fallen soldiers and provide targeted charitable assistance to veterans," said Volodymyr Tkachenko, Chairman of the Board.
Aviation Company Ukrainian Helicopters has allocated nearly $4 million for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These funds were used to purchase essential gear, equipment, ammunition and communication tools for our defenders.
The Aviation Company also takes care of future soldiers' training. Thus, the training center of the National Guard of Ukraine received assistance in the amount of $1.8 million. Every penny brings our shared victory closer.
Children of the fallen Ukrainian defenders are our future pride and responsibility. The Aviation Company actively supports families who have lost their loved ones. Charity events with gifts were organized for 18 orphans, along with funds allocated for their education, leisure, and for covering their needs. In addition, the Aviation Company provided aid to half-orphans of the fallen Heroes. The Aviation Company extended greetings to over 1,000 children from the Kyiv region on the start of the school year. The Aviation Company organized festive performances at the National Circus of Ukraine and the Puppet Theater, and presented each child with a $240 certificate. With these, children were able to buy everything they needed for school in one of the retail chains. This amounted to almost $290,000.
We believe that families of the Heroes who gave their lives for our country deserve special attention and support. Aviation Company Ukrainian Helicopters provided them with financial aid in the amount of $67.500, offering a helping hand in this difficult time and support in their daily lives. Representatives of the company personally delivered aid to these families: equipment, essential goods and clothes for the children. And over 130 veterans from Bucha and Irpin received $365 certificates on the Defender of Ukraine Day to purchase the essential goods.
The Aviation Company is aware of the importance of taking care of those who sacrifice their health for the freedom of Ukraine. This year, Ukrainian Helicopters allocated almost $97.000 for the rehabilitation of wounded soldiers, sponsoring surgeries, postoperative care in specialized facilities, rehabilitation at the Aurum Medical Center and the At the Call of the Heart recreation camp for defenders. The Aviation Company also funded eye prosthetics surgeries at St. Michael's Hospital. This helped many to regain their strength and receive the necessary treatment and psychological support.
Those who worked for the Aviation Company and gave their lives for Ukraine will always be remembered. PJSC AC Ukrainian Helicopters provided financial aid to the families of the fallen colleagues, allocating over $1 million to express our deepest gratitude and support in the most difficult times for them.
These initiatives are not just statistics, but an expression of gratitude from PJSC AC Ukrainian Helicopters to those who defend Ukraine and a way of taking care of those who need it most. We are confident that together with our partners, colleagues and other concerned people, we will be able to do even more.
