Only 5% of businesses returned to Kherson region after de-occupation

Only 5% of businesses returned to the Kherson region after the de-occupation.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“We live on the money we ask for - the state and other regions help us. We appeal to everyone. Only 5% of businesses have returned to the Kherson region," Prokudin said.

According to him, the regional budget for 2024 has been approved. Its total amount is UAH 1 billion 601 million. These are mainly subventions and subsidies.

As Ukrinform reported, in the autumn of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of Kherson region, including the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnipro River, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
