In Warsaw, a festive event was held after the Sunday service at the Church of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, during which Ukrainian children received gifts from St. Nicholas.

In total, more than 500 Ukrainian children received gift sets including Ukrainian children's books and sweets from St. Nicholas, reports Ukrinform.

During the event, Ukrainian children sang Christmas carols about St. Nicholas, recited poems, and played musical instruments, including violins and French horns, before the gifts came in.

The gift sets for Ukrainian children were prepared with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, as well as private benefactors.

As Ukrinform was told in the church, its priests will send a small part of the remaining gifts to Ukrainian parishes in the north of Poland.
