Patients with mental illnesses evacuated from Kherson region

Patients with mental illnesses were evacuated from Kherson region with the support of Doctors Without Borders and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

"Medical evacuation of patients from Kherson region was carried out. Evacuees are patients with mental illnesses. They will be taken to safer regions for further treatment at medical facilities," the Kherson Regional Military Administration posted on Telegram.

As noted, this became possible thanks to the constant support and help from the Doctors Without Borders and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. The transfer was organized by Ukrzaliznytsia.

Ambulances took patients to the evacuation train. Now the evacuees are safe and will receive all the necessary help, the Administration noted.

As reported, Kherson region is constantly under Russian fire, the enemy kills and injures civilians every day, destroys residential and administrative buildings, hospitals, schools and other infrastructural and civilian facilities in the region.
