Olena Zelenska Foundation launching project to restore children's hub in Borodianka

The Olena Zelenska Foundation is launching a project to restore a children's creative and sports hub in Borodianka, Kyiv region.

First Lady Olena Zelenska said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“The Olena Zelenska Foundation (https://zelenskafoundation.org/) is starting a project to restore a children's creative and sports hub in Borodianka, Kyiv region. A new creative and sports hub will be built on the site of the destroyed facility in Borodianka,” the First Lady said.

According to her, the funds for construction are being provided by the Temerty Family, which has been collaborating with the Foundation since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Zelenska told that she, along with her Foundation's team, the director of Ukrainian initiatives of the Temerty Family Foundation, Krystina Waler, and the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, visited the site where the children's center used to be located and discussed the initial steps in implementing the joint project.

She recalled that in the first days of the occupation of Kyiv region, a Russian missile completely destroyed the children’s center in Borodianka. Zelenska emphasized that the reconstruction of this center in is an investment in the future of Ukrainian children, and it should become one of the hundreds of stories of the recovery of the whole of Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, the opening of the Borodianka Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of the Population is planned in October.
