Dzhaparova meets with new UNICEF regional director

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova held a meeting with Regina De Dominicis, newly appointed UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia and Special Coordinator for the Refugee and Migrant Response in Europe.

"The parties discussed the priority directions of cooperation, including ensuring the continuity of the educational process in Ukraine, returning the Ukrainian children illegally deported to the Russian Federation, and supporting the process of their reunification with families," the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

The first deputy minister and the UNICEF regional director praised the effective coordination and synergy of the efforts of the Government of Ukraine and the Fund aimed at protecting children in Ukraine during the war.

Dzhaparova thanked the Fund’s team for supporting the government's activities in ensuring children's rights and overcoming the humanitarian consequences of Russia's full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

Dzhaparova and De Dominicis expressed hope for further active cooperation and successful implementation of UNICEF projects in Ukraine.
