Kyiv is preparing to open an exhibition of destroyed military equipment of the Russian invaders on Khreshchatyk Street.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Khreshchatyk Street - from Maidan Nezalezhnosti to Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street – is closed to road traffic as the military equipment is being placed there. In the morning, there were few people willing to take a closer look at it. People calmly walked among destroyed tanks and other samples. Currently, about 15 units of destroyed military equipment have already been brought to the central street.

Last year, destroyed Russian military equipment was also exhibited on Khreshchatyk.

As reported, the exhibition will be opened in the capital on Independence Day. However, the city authorities do not plan mass festive events for this day.

Due to the exhibition, from August 20 to 28, Khreshchatyk - from Maidan Nezalezhnosti to Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street - will be closed to road traffic. Instead, from 23:30 on August 19, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street - from Khreshchatyk to Volodymyrska Street - was opened.
