Writer Vika Amelina to be buried in Lviv on July 5

Writer Viktoria Amelina, who was killed in a missile attack on Kramatorsk, will be buried on Wednesday, July 5, at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. On July 4, the memorial service will be held in Kyiv.

That's according to PEN Ukraine's post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Dear friends and colleagues, at the request of Victoria Amelina's family, we are announcing the time and place of the funeral of our dear Vika," the post reads.

On Tuesday, July 4, at 12:00, a funeral service will be held at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv.

On Wednesday, July 5, a funeral service will be held at the Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church in Lviv. At 16:00 - burial at Lychakiv Cemetery.

A bus will be organized for those who would like to travel from Kyiv to Lviv for the funeral and burial.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 1, Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina, who was injured on June 27 during the shelling of Kramatorsk by Russian troops, died in hospital.
