In Ukraine, 946 children already injured amid Russian war - prosecutors

As of April 8, Russia’s full-scale aggression has already killed 467 children, also leaving 946 injured.

That’s according to the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.

"As of the morning of April 8, 2023, some 1,413 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. According to the official report by juvenile prosecutors, 467 children died and 946 sustained injuries of various degrees of severity," the statement reads.

The data are not final, as work is ongoing to verify reports coming from hostility zones, temporarily captured and liberated territories.

The largest number of casualties among children was reported in Donetsk region (448), Kharkiv region (275), Kyiv region (127), Kherson region (94), Zaporizhia region (88), Mykolaiv region (85), Chernihiv region (68), Luhansk region (66), and Dnipropetrovsk region (66).

On Friday, April 7, as a result of enemy shelling of Stanislav, Kherson region,  wo children, aged 3 and 10, were injured.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a total of 11,090 children have been found in Ukraine after going missing amid the war.
