Brovary community announces three days of mourning

The Brovary community has announced three days of mourning following a tragedy that occurred on Wednesday and took the lives of 14 people.

Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko reported this in Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"January 19, 20 and 21 have been declared Days of Mourning in our community following the tragedy that happened today in Brovary... There are no words to convey the pain of loss...,” he wrote.

He expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.

As reported, on Wednesday in Brovary, Kyiv region, a helicopter fell near a kindergarten and a residential building. As of 15:45, the State Emergency Service announced that the search and rescue operations ended in Brovary. A total of 14 people, including a child, were killed and 25 more people, including 11, children, were injured.
