President Zelensky thanks allies for support during Golden Globes telecast

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared in a video message during the Golden Globes telecast to thank Ukraine’s allies for their support.

The relevant statement was made by CNN, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“There are still battles and tears ahead. But now I can tell you who was the best in the previous year – you in the free world, who united around support of free Ukrainian people,” Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine was introduced to the audience by the American actor, Sean Penn, who previously met with Zelensky in Kyiv.

In his video message, Zelensky noted that the “war in Ukraine is not over yet, but the tide is turning, and it is already clear who will win”.

Zelensky also recalled the Golden Globes of the early 1940s, before World War II had ended.

“There will be no third world war. It’s not a trilogy,” the President of Ukraine added.

A reminder that earlier Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared virtually at the Cannes Film Festival and the Grammy Awards to discuss the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine and thank those in the entertainment industry who had raised awareness of it.
