Heart of Europe: Kyiv recognized as 2023 honorary best city in the world

Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, has been recognized the 2023 honorary best city in the world in the "100 Best Cities in the World" ranking compiled by the international agency Resonance.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Due to the resilience, indomitability of Kyiv residents and bravery in the face of war, the agency's experts awarded the capital the 2023 honorary best city title in the ‘100 Best Cities in the World’ ranking,” Klitschko wrote.

According to him, the experts noted the infrastructural development of the city over the past 10 years, in particular, the creation of new parks and squares and the improvement of already existed ones, putting parking lots in order, updating the rolling stock of municipal transport.

"Kyiv today is the heart of Europe, which continues to beat - for life, for development, for the beauty of the city and the comfort of its residents," the mayor noted.

Canadian company Resonance Consultancy specializes in the issues of strategy, branding and communications in cities.

 In 2021, Kyiv ranked 87th in the "100 Best Cities in the World" rating.
