Bayer transfers EUR 1.3M for Ukrainian medical facilities’ restoration

The German pharmaceutical company Bayer transferred EUR 1.3 million for the restoration of medical facilities in Ukraine.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to the Ministry of Health.

“The well-known German manufacturer of medicines, plant protection products, plastics, paints and varnishes Bayer transferred EUR 1,300,000 for restoring and equipping medical facilities in Ukraine within the framework of the UNITED24 initiative," the report says.

According to Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development Maria Karchevych, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the procedure for using funds from the account to meet health care needs within the UNITED24 platform. In particular, funds can now be allocated for the modernization of state and municipal health care facilities damaged as a result of hostilities, as well as for the renewal and modernization of state and municipal multidisciplinary intensive care hospitals.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine has received 10,500 tonnes of medical aid worth UAH 12,850 million since February 24, 2022.
