First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska has met with the students of British universities and told them about the challenges that Ukrainians are facing now due to Russian armed aggression.

The relevant statement was made by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Zelenska, our history is being made here and now, which is very acutely felt in Ukraine.

“At the invitation of The London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE, I told British students about Ukraine’s struggle against Russian invaders and the challenges that Ukrainians are facing. About the fact that their colleagues, students in Ukraine, literally have to fight for knowledge every day: in between air raid alerts, bomb shelters, power outages… I said all of them are our future. The future of the whole world: its borders and distances are more conventional than they seem,” Zelenska wrote.

In her words, it is the youth – Ukrainian, British and global – who will determine how we will live in 5, 10 and 20 years. The youth will decide on the path that our countries take, and whether there is peace or chaos around, whether human rights are violated, as Russia is doing now, or any aggressor can be appeased.
