22,000 people evacuated from liberated territories – Vereshchuk

About 22,000 people have been evacuated from the liberated territories.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, said this during a nationwide telethon on Ukrainian TV channel, Ukrinform reports.

"We helped 22,000 people to evacuate. There are people who go to the de-occupied territory, there are people, especially women with children, people with reduced mobility, people of retirement age, who evacuate," said Vereshchuk.

She noted that in the liberated territories of Kherson region, Kharkiv region, and Donetsk region, stabilization measures are underway, mine clearance is carried out, humanitarian and medical aid is provided to the population, and restoration works to return power supply are conducted.

At the same time, some settlements are still exposed to enemy shelling, which makes recovery difficult, Vereshchuk noted.
