Forty-eight residents of Slovyansk community, Donetsk region, were evacuated from Kyiv to Nice, France.

"Today [October 16], we had an unusual evacuation route. A bus with residents of Slovyansk community left Kyiv for Nice. The group was gathered for two months, and now 48 Slovyansk residents will spend the winter on the Cote d'Azur," Vadym Liakh, Head of the Slovyansk Town Military-Civilian Administration, posted on Facebook.

As noted, the evacuees will be provided with housing, food, and financial assistance for six months.

This became possible thanks to cooperation with public figure Evheniya Kuleba and her charity organization "Save Life", the official noted.

"We hope that the cooperation will continue and we will be able to send another group of our compatriots to France," he added.

Liakh thanked everyone who helps Slovyansk.

As reported, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine together with the European Commission this week evacuated another 22 Ukrainians injured due to Russia's armed aggression to Europe for treatment.
