About 10,000 Ukrainian citizens have left Crimea – Mejlis

About 10,000 Ukrainian citizens have left the Crimean Peninsula after the occupiers began forced and illegal mobilization.

"Local residents continue to leave the territory of occupied Crimea, a significant part of them are Crimean Tatars. According to the Mejlis, about 10,000 Ukrainian citizens left the occupied Crimea for Russia and abroad," Office of the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea posted on Facebook with reference to the data of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People.

As noted, pro-Russian activists deliberately persecute Ukrainian citizens who escape from criminal mobilization, passing information about them on to the occupying law enforcement officers.

As reported, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov said that terrible situation developed on borders between Russia and countries to which Crimeans are trying to get.

President Volodymyr Zelensky called forced mobilization in Crimea yet another element of Russia's genocidal policy.
