Parliament to exempt from conscription those who lost their loved ones due to war with Russia

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted at first reading draft law No. 7481 "On the introduction of amendments to the law of Ukraine 'On mobilization preparations and mobilization' regarding the expansion of the list of persons who are not subject to conscription during mobilization."

Some 298 lawmakers voted for the bill, Ukrinform reports, referring to the parliament's website.

The document envisages the introduction of amendments to Article 23 of the law of Ukraine "On mobilization preparations and mobilization" regarding the expansion of the list of persons exempted from conscription for military service during mobilization.

It is planned to determine that this list will include persons whose close relatives died or went missing during the Anti-Terrorist Operation, the Joint Forces Operation, as well as during the martial law.
