Border crossing stats: Over 38,000 people arrive in Ukraine in past day

More than 38,000 people crossed into Ukraine over the past 24 hours, 34,000 of them Ukrainians.

That’s according to the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

“Over the past 16 days, more than 74,000 people and almost 19,000 vehicles crossed Ukraine's western borders with the EU and Moldova. Almost 36,000 people left Ukraine in the past day. 21,000 of them crossed out to Poland, the rest – to Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova," the statement said.

A total of 125 trucks with humanitarian aid have been cleared.

As Ukrinform reported, two new checkpoints are being built on the border with Romania – Krasnoilsk and Dyakivtsi.
