Invaders detain editor-in-chief of Nova Kakhovka.City online media outlet

In Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, Russian invaders searched and detained Oleksandr Hunko, the editor-in-chief of Nova Kakhovka.City online media outlet.

"In Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, the Russian occupiers searched the apartment of Oleksandr Hunko, a well-known local journalist and editor-in-chief of Nova Kakhovka.City online media outlet. After the search, phones and electronic devices were confiscated and the journalist was detained," the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Journalist’s daughter, Oksana Hunko, also wrote about his arrest on Facebook.

According to local journalists, Nova Kakhovka.City earlier received a letter with a proposal for cooperation and a call to cover the events "correctly".

As reported, Russian invaders abduct local residents, officials, and journalists in Kherson region.

On February 24, Russian president Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.
