Kyiv reports 3,699 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city recorded 3,699 new COVID-19 cases on February 22, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.

“A total of 3,699 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the capital over the past day. Thirty-three people have died. Overall, 8,938 lethal cases from the virus have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. A total number of confirmed cases has reached 441,459,” the mayor wrote.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv over the course of the past day are 2,180 women aged 18-96 years, 1,313 men aged 18-90 years, 99 girls aged between one month and 17 years and 107 boys aged between three months and 17 years.

According to Klitschko, 104 patients with coronavirus, 92 patients with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia were hospitalized on February 22.

At the same time, 3,007 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 365,693 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 25,062 new COVID-19 cases on February 22.
