Kyiv records 2,266 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city recorded 2,266 new COVID-19 cases on February 6, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.

“As many as 2,266 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the capital over the past day. Twelve people have died. Overall, 8,599 lethal cases from the virus have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. A total number of confirmed cases has reached 383,535,” the mayor wrote.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv over the course of the past day are 1,239 women aged 18-89 years, 753 men aged 18-92 years, 134 girls aged between 5 months and 17 years and 140 boys aged between 3 months and 17 years.

According to Klitschko, 26 patients with coronavirus, 194 patients with suspected COVID-19 and pneumonia were hospitalized on February 6.

At the same time, 307 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 341,172 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 23,378 new COVID-19 cases on February 6.
