More than 84% of educators in Ukraine fully vaccinated against COVID-19 – Shkarlet

More than 84% of educators in Ukraine have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Education Minister Serhiy Shkarlet.

“As of November 22, at least one vaccine dose was given to 96.2% of educators, of whom over 550,000 completed a full course of vaccination (84.5%),” Shkarlet wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According the minister, the highest percentage of educators now fully vaccinated are recorded among educators in Donetsk region - 92.7%, Kharkiv region - 92.5%, Luhansk region - 92.4%, and Cherkasy region - 92.2%.

In Kyiv, over 30,000 educators (86%) have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

The minister also noted that more than 11,000 schools (84%) across Ukraine reopened on November 22.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 7,464 new COVID-19 cases on November 21.
