In "yellow" zone, full vaccination to be mandated for employees– top health official

The Ministry of Health intends to extend the requirement to businesses operating in the yellow zone of quarantine coronavirus restrictions to make sure employees undergo a full vaccination course.

The rule will also relate to customers ordering services in the said zone, an Ukrinform correspondent reports referring to Ukraine’s Health Minister Viktor Liashko, who spoke at a briefing on Wednesday, November 17.

"Currently, the Ministry of Health is working on changes to the decree on adaptive quarantine, which will provide that, in order to remain open amid quarantine restrictions in the yellow zone of epidemic threat, businesses will have to ensure a full course of vaccination for both employees and clients," said Liashko.

Today there are two regions remaining in the yellow zone – Kirovohrad and Ternopil. Five regions are in the orange zone and the rest are in the red zone of epidemic threat.

As reported earlier, 18,668 new coronavirus cases were reported in Ukraine over the past day.

Since the onset of the pandemic in Ukraine, 3,263,417 people have contracted the coronavirus. Of this number, 2,684,584 patients recovered and 78,754 died.
