Ukraine received 31M doses of COVID-19 vaccines since start of pandemic

Since the start of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, Ukraine has received 31 million doses of vaccines, according to Health Minister Viktor Liashko.

"As many as 31 million doses of vaccines have already been delivered to Ukraine," Liashko said at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

He reminded that on November 7, Ukraine received 2,930,300 doses of mRNA vaccine from COVID-19 manufactured by Moderna, which were supplied under the COVAX Facility. In addition, Ukraine received 1,400,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine purchased at the public expense.

According to the health minister, 1.648 million doses were administered in Ukraine last week. As of today, 36.7% of Ukrainians have received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, and 25.6% have completed a full course of vaccination.

The highest vaccination rate remains in Kyiv, where 57% of residents have already received one dose and 45.7% have received two doses. The lowest vaccination rate has been recorded in Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Odesa regions.

On November 7, Ukraine recorded 13,068 new COVID-19 cases. As many as 3,088,501 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,520,956 have recovered, and 72,557 have died since the pandemic began.
