Kyiv received UAH 59M in tourist tax revenues in Jan-Oct 2021

Since the beginning of 2021, the budget of Kyiv city has received UAH 56 million in tourist tax revenues, which is UAH 21.3 million more than for the whole of 2020, according to Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Maryna Khonda.

“Our tourism industry has almost reached pre-pandemic financial indicators. Let me remind you that the budget of Kyiv received UAH 62 million of tourist tax in 2019. The growth in tourist tax shows Kyiv attractiveness for tourists from new destinations, in particular the Gulf countries. This is a promising area that the city will continue developing to increase tourist attractiveness,” Khonda said, Ukrinform reports, referring to the official portal of Kyiv city.

She added that almost 2 million tourists, both foreign and domestic ones, visited Kyiv over the first ten months of 2021. Most foreigners came from the United States, Israel, Turkey, Belarus and Germany.
