Government adopts strategy for integration of internally displaced persons

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted the strategy for the integration of internally displaced persons and the implementation of medium-term decisions on internal displacement until 2024.

The government made a respective decision at a meeting on Thursday, October 28, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The key goal of this strategy is to create conditions for the integration of internally displaced persons in the host territorial communities. The plan for the implementation of this strategy is essentially a list of specific tasks and measures for the host territorial communities," said Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

In particular, the strategy ensures full access to administrative, social and other services, and creates conditions for the development of the potential of IDPs in their new place of residence.

Reznikov recalled that there are about 1.4 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine.
