Ukraine, Lithuania to present at UN best practices of combating misinformation

On October 29, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations and the Permanent Mission of Lithuania to the United Nations will hold an online event "Creative Ways to Strengthen Resistance to Misinformation and False Information."

"Leading Ukrainian and Lithuanian non-governmental organizations will present their own creative practices which allow information consumers to more effectively resist the influence of misinformation narratives through game and cognitive form," the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs.

In particular, Ukraine presents the educational game StopFake Bingo and Media Literacy Labyrinth – a mobile structure consisting of themed rooms, photo zones, and interactive zones.

Representatives of The Purpose, a UN implementing partner in The Verified campaign to disseminate objective information about the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination, plan to participate.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the "creative ideas fair" will take place as part of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week, which is held at the UN on October 24-31 in accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly approved this year, co-sponsored by Ukraine.
