Ukraine to participate in Europe's biggest IT conference - Fedorov

Ukraine will participate for the first time in one of Europe's biggest IT conferences, the Web Summit, in Lisbon.

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“Over the past two years, we have managed to create products and initiatives that will be represented along with the world's largest companies. Participation in the Web Summit will allow telling the world about our technological ecosystem, attracting foreign investors, and will have a positive impact on the image of Ukraine as an IT country. The event will take place from November 1 to 4,” Fedorov wrote.

According to him, participants in the Web Summit will discuss trends, share experience and success stories in the technological world.

"We have something to tell and something to offer to other countries: digital services, innovative projects and a developed IT sector. We are launching the special legal and tax regime Diia City, which will allow Ukraine to become the largest IT hub in Eastern Europe," Fedorov wrote.

According to him, 14 Ukrainian teams will represent their startups to investors in Lisbon. At one of the Web Summit sites, Fedorov will tell about Ukraine's achievements in digitalization over the past two years. He will also represent the mobile app and portal Diia and other ecosystem products.

As Ukrinform reported, on September 10, the Ministry of Digital Transformation represented a vision for the reform of IT education in Ukraine and proposals for a road map.
