In Ukraine, 80% of healthcare workers received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine – Kuzin

In Ukraine, 80% of healthcare workers and 62% of educators have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, whereas 63% of healthcare workers and 42% of educators are fully vaccinated, according to Deputy Minister of Health Ihor Kuzin.

"As of yesterday [September 23], 80% of healthcare workers have already been vaccinated with the first dose , 63% have had two doses; 62% of educators have been vaccinated with the first dose, 42% have had two doses;," Kuzin said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

Kuzin reminded that the Ministry of Health is developing a list of professions, industries and organizations whose employees will be subject to mandatory vaccination against COVID-19.

It includes employees of educational institutions, employees of central executive bodies and employees of structural subdivisions, as well as employees of local state administrations.

Next week, according to Kuzin, the Ministry of Health will publish a draft of this document.

As Ukrinform reported, a total of 11,979,985 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 6,624,026 people receiving their first dose and 5,355,959 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).
