U.S. provides equipment, training to Ukraine's National Police, State Emergency Service

The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Threat Reduction Agency has provided equipment for handling dangerous goods and training for the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has said on Twitter.

"U.S.-Ukraine law enforcement and emergency management cooperation continues! DODDTRA Int'l Counter-Proliferation Program provided HAZMAT equipment and training to the National Police of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to keep first responders safe and ensure they can safely investigate hazardous crime scenes," the embassy said.

United States European Command (USEUCOM) on September 13 donated $750,000 to the Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine for the purchase of equipment to help those with COVID-19 or other pandemic illnesses.
