Red Cross delivers over 500 t of humanitarian aid to Russian-occupied parts of eastern Ukraine

More than 504 tonnes of humanitarian cargo have been delivered to the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reports.

"Today, September 6, 24 trucks delivered humanitarian cargo with a total weight of 504.79 tonnes to the Russian-occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine," the report reads.

The cargo was transferred from all member states of the Geneva Conventions that make contributions to the global budget of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The trucks transported the humanitarian aid through the Novotroitske checkpoint.

On August 26, humanitarian cargo weighing 35.29 tonnes was delivered to the Russian-occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
