Cabinet of Ministers changes Ukraine entry rules for foreigners

The Cabinet of Ministers has allowed foreigners and stateless persons who have a COVID-19 certificate of vaccination with one or more doses of WHO-approved vaccines, or who have recovered from COVID-19, not to self-isolate after crossing Ukraine's state border.

According to Ukrinform, a respective decision was made at a government meeting on August 18.

According to the comparative table to a draft government resolution, foreigners and stateless persons can enter Ukraine if they present a foreign COVID-19 certificate of vaccination with one or more doses of WHO-approved vaccines.

As was the case before, foreigners and stateless persons can also enter Ukraine if they present a negative PCR test or a negative rapid antigen test.

As was reported earlier, in accordance with a Cabinet of Ministers resolution, the requirements for crossing Ukraine's border and entry-exit checkpoints changed from August 5.

In particular, foreign nationals, except for certain categories, still need to provide proof of health insurance that covers COVID-19 observation and treatment for the duration of their stay, a negative PCR or rapid antigen test taken no more than 72 hours before entry. Also, in order to avoid self-isolation, foreigners were required to provide a document confirming receipt of a full course of COVID-19 vaccination with WHO-approved vaccines.
