Kyiv records hottest night in past 141 years

Last night has turned out to be the hottest in Kyiv city in the past 141 years of records, according to the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevskyi.

"According to observations of the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Borys Sreznevskyi, the night into July 16 turned out to be the hottest in the past 141 years. Today the minimum temperature did not fall below + 24.4 °С, which is 2.4 °С higher than [the previous record set] in 2001,” reads the report.

As Ukrinform reported, the night into July 15 turned out to be the hottest in Kyiv city on record since 1881, breaking the previous temperature record set in 2010.
